Popular Post El Presidente Posted November 26, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 26, 2019 Di and I will be in the US for thanksgiving 2020 and we are looking forward to it immensely! I love the whole concept of the thanksgiving. The coming together of families, the simple taking a little bit of time to slow down and say thanks. What are your thanksgiving plans? Have you set your cigars aside? Food menu plans......have you got it underway? Every picture of your thanksgiving plans and execution goes into the draw for one of 5 samplers drawn next Wednesday by Steve. Post a pic (on this thread) off the prep, day or aftermath and receive a ticket in the draw for each contribution (5 pic maximum per member) What will be your Thanksgiving post lunch cigar 10
SenorPerfecto Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Prez, if you are in LA, be sure to come by! For dinner and/or smokes afterward!
Richard peters Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Going to be near the happiest place on Earth.( Smart man never said where).
SenorPerfecto Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 (by the way, we Yanks skip lunch on T-day -- early dinner is the name of the game!)
JeffreyLebowski Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Ah, Thanksgiving - such a glorious holiday. Both a celebration of gratefulness and a license to gorge ourselves on our favorite foods, drinks, desserts, and smokes. And all without fear of being judged a glutton, since any such judginess would violate the spirit of the day. 1

Thinkin’ ahead!!! It’s a big day for us. I already repaired the rusted top of the cheap Masterbuilt smoker so I can bronze the bird starting very early Thursday am (if not Wednesday night). Prep begins a few days before, and I love it! 2

Popular Post Reuben Posted November 26, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 26, 2019 For my family, it always starts with the fall hunt together. Quartering the venison.... My apologies to those of you who think meat comes in cellophane! 11 5
Popular Post Reuben Posted November 26, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 26, 2019 Living on the coast, a bit of seafood is usually on the table....... A lobster bisque from scratch (including the most important part which is a great fish stock)! 8

Popular Post Markspring1978 Posted November 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 27, 2019 Heading out to spend time with family, at least I got some good selections for the trip. 10
Popular Post Edward7 Posted November 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 27, 2019 Thanksgiving is the best. The one holiday that all Americans celebrate no matter race or religion. Means that the bond and stock markets are all closed and your clients are all spending time with family as well. I normally get to go home to my parents and to kick back and do literally nothing. However this year, my family has so much to be thankful for, as we are celebrating my dads recovery from cancer. We are giving my mom a break and my immediate family plus my fiancé are headed to Maui for four nights. Looking forward to more sunshine since LA is going to be getting about a week straight of rain which may as well be a state of emergency for the roads out here (no one knows how to drive if it is damp out). Hope everyone has a great thanksgiving! 8

Popular Post eldude Posted November 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 27, 2019 The weather isn't cooperating, but I brought a few smokes with me to the bay for Thanksgiving. The monstrosity on the left is my father-in-laws pick. He has a strange love for Macanudos. 5
Popular Post Chibearsv Posted November 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 27, 2019 Getting the smoker ready for 38 degrees F might have to use the smoking lair to smoke the Turkey 8
Popular Post Wookie Posted November 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 27, 2019 My 12 year old son likes baking. Me, I’m a cook. Here is the beginning to thanksgiving morning made by my kid...breakfast cinnamon rolls ready for the oven after a night in the fridge. Just out of oven Turned out well. 11

I don't skip lunch, we eat a late lunch that never really subsides until about 7 pm. It's a salute to being thankful coupled with a salute to morbid obesity. Nothing more american than that. 1
Hollywood Ninja Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 Ha! I'm going to a friend's for Thanksgiving tomorrow, so I'm just sitting here downing this. 2
