Does it snow there in the winter? it is summer - you might have seen reports of the bushfires. winter does see snow. extremely rare in Queensland. but the southern Australian Alps region is actually bigger than the European Alps region. we don't have anything very high though. flat as Finland!

Stay safe down there!! Australia's highest peak is Mt Kosciuszko at 2,228 metres in the Snowy Mountains, which is part of the Australian Alps region of NSW. So a little over a mile high at 1.38 miles! It snows every winter and spring on the peak. Most natural biomes are represented here in Australia, other than Taiga, Tundra and Ice Sheet.
Chibearsv Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 Since winter in Chicago now starts in October and ends in May, I’ll take as much summer as I can get. And don’t you find that cigars taste so much better in hot weather? Warm temps, cold drink, and good cigar does it for me. Looking forward to May ?
earthson Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 Too hot in the summer. Plus all of the bugs. Of course, I'm a Slav who was born in the winter in a very wintery place, so maybe it's just in my blood and I've relocated to the wrong place!

MoeFOH Posted November 26, 2019 Author Posted November 26, 2019 I'm a lover of winter, probably because our Brisbane winters are so mild... but still... anyhow, summer a clear winner here: 90-21. Anyhow, to the winner of the random draw sampler... that goes to @ltte !! Congrats!! Please PM your details (name, address and email) to me @MoeFOH and we'll arrange dispatch of your prize.
