Panetelas 37x5

Hi I just had a POR LARRANAGA Panetela love the flavour and size. What other cigars are worth smoking in the Panetela (37x5) size. Thanks

How young is it? I find Montes and PCs unsmokable under 5 years. I was wondering if it's like that with the whole brand.

Le Hoyo du Depute is a bit thicker(38rg) but also great.

It's 1 1/2 years old

I enjoy the plp young. I find its mongrel character appealing. Lots of intense character.

PLP will be the only cigar of that vitola as the RGPE has been cut. 

And yes, I'm a big fan of PLP. Great value. One of my "everyday" staples.

  Quintero panetela is a great sweet cigar, similar sort of price point as the PLP too, similar type of occasion cigar as well.

  You might want to look at La Gloria Cubana no.4 they're a bump up in quality and price but a seriously classy cigar with a small ring gauge

Cohiba has a few small RG cigars too but there's a pretty big price:cigar size ratio issue

Whoops, got it backwards. I knew it was one of them and wishful forgetfulness led me to think RGPE.

I've only had 4 year olds and they are unsmokable. The golden rule is 5. I dont have the patience to let them sit that long and dont want to pay the premium for aged ones. If someone offered me one I'd gladly accept it though.

Unsmokable in what way? Plugged? Tasteless? Bad burn? Interested to know what makes it unsmokable.

Have you smoked any that are over 5 years old?

It's just a personal preference, I love aged tobacco but PLPC at a year are incredible for me: big chewy sweet tobacco, loads of toast and toffee. Just a dream

My buddy who I get from locally threw in a few of each which is how I made my assessment. I actually have a few 5+ and 10+ year PLs and MCs coming to me this week. I guess they were tired of me talking smack about PLs and decided to show me the light. Lol
