The key is...never buy blind on this, repeat...never! Yes, I hear you on the Famosos and RGPC's but a Montecristo 4 box that is 'on' from beginning to end is quite something else. I guess I'm fortunate that I'm going through one now (Box Code - UEB May 2018).

My inventory at CCW states that I have smoked 35 Montecristo No. 4's since April 2017. The average rating out of 5 for these cigars is 4.03. However, the UEB May 2018 cigars have rated higher at 4.31 out of 5. So, for this box there has been 1 'dud' out of 13, for all the others I had 2 'duds' and 2 'ordinary' ones (out of 22). So I guess that isn't too bad either.

Since I opened my UEB May 2018 box in February this year I have averaged one every three weeks.
