Popular Post BuzzArd Posted October 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted October 29, 2019 I’ve been looking at two “Yolanda” custom rolls in my humidor for well over a year. Maybe two.... Time to fire one up. This robusto sized stick has amost no odor at all at cold. It’s not nestled in with a group, so that makes sense to me. It looks really good though. Perfect wrapper, nice triple cap. Straight cut and the draw was a bit freer than a production Cuban, but no wind tunnel for sure. Lit up and got a good dose of paprika and white pepper. After 10 minutes the burn remained dead perfect and the spices sweetened while the pepper remained. At the half (still with no re-lights or touch-ups) the cigar was performing beautifully. Leather, anise and sweet paprika ruled while the pepper dropped into the back ground. The anise and sweet paprika intensified through to the end and the pepper returned. Definitely a full flavored cigar but at about a medium strength. I definitey felt a bit of ligero in the blend, but it was far from overpowering. In all a solid 91-92 points and I couldn’t put it down until I began to toast my fingers. 11
