I’ll be in Lisbon, Evora and Algarve for about 10 days in November. Are there any good cigar shops or bars worth visiting?

For Lisbon, there is Casa Havaneza in Chiado area and LCDH near the aquarium. You should be able to find most current production cigar and maybe Portugal regionals. In my last trip I failed to find any aged/discontinue/rare stock.

I had all my cigars in hotels, restaurants patios, beaches, nothing spectacular. My advice is focus on the sightseeing and the food instead of cigars.

Sorry I don't have any updated stock info. My guess is most likely a no since it came out last year with only 6000 boxes released.

I strongly recommend you give them a call before visiting, they are pretty friendly on stock inquiries.

There was also a shopping centre when I was ther about 4 or 5 years ago. El corto ingles or something. It was like a harrods type store with lots of small cubicles of brands. They had a cigar walk in humidor that had a decent range.

I found the LCDH had a better pipe line than cigars.

It wouldn't surprise me if the LCDH still had Regionals because it is a bit off the beaten path, unlike Casa Havaneza. Worth checking there.

Note Portugal has some weird laws as well about selling singles: IIRC they can only sell you boxes or tubos.

I don't think Evora has any good cigar shops--at least I never found any. Nice town though--they have some Roman ruins and good restaurants.

Luis is the contact at the LCDH in Lisbon. I have enjoyed quite a few cigars there and while smaller and more intimate than some other LCDH's Luis is a great host and I really love the shop. That said I am not sure if they currently have the Lusiados in stock. I bought 2 boxes there in summer of 2018. Here is their Phone number +351 218 941 191 and you can facebook message them. Casa Havaneza is convenient but I really like the feel, ambiance and attention I have received at Luis' LCDH.

Thanks all for the tips. I always pack a few for travel, but I like to browse and see if anything interesting pops up. Time permitting I'd like to pop into one of these outlets.

How is the cigar smoking scene in Portugal, can you smoke at any bars with patios, or is it very restrictive?

Don't worry about it, the Lusiadas are still widely available pretty much everywhere (there's a reason for it ). You'll have no difficulty in finding them at any Casa Havaneza or the LCDH, bar any sudden shop stock issues.

You can smoke pretty much in any outdoor place unless specifically indicated, and almost nowhere indoors - there are a few bars and restaurants that allow it, but the vast majority don't.
