Bucky McSwensen Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Got these at auction a while back for a decent mark up but glad I had the opportunity to enjoy this discontinued beauty. Very smooth mild smoke. Overpowering cedar at the start with little creamy kicks of honey and floral notes. This stick smokes perfect the whole way through. I have been smoking a lot of robust non cubans so the mild mellow flavors is a nice change of pace. At some points it is maybe too bland but that only happens in waves. Final third kicks up some nutty and spicy flavors with a mild sweetness in the background. Dulls out towards the nub and is all cedar for the finish. This is a great stick but this time it was a little blander and the wood notes dominated. Had better, hope the others have a bit more to them than this one. Age cant hurt as it's only had 5 years down and there are still signs of smoothing out the little blips of complexity, but hopefully it doesn't just dull out. This is a big smoke, dont see it much anymore. Its reliable, but not anything too crazy that I can sell others on. I love it though. So it's my grandpas f100. Big simple truck, emotional attachment, wouldn't be impressive to those who arent attached, possibly dulled with age but I wish I had more access to it. The heavy wood notes also made me make this comparison for multiple timber runs in this old thing. I value this stick at 18 bucks Cost value 0.60 Cuba value 2.35 1
