Sounds interesting conceptually but for my money, it's hard to compete with Cuba in regards to, nuance, taste and value.

I agree. I don't see myself buying a box even if I like it unless I find a ridiculous deal on them. I do see myself picking up some singles for a change of pace if they are good, similar to what I do with Opus X.

Steep indeed, but if I can get my hands on one I’d love to try it!!

I'm going to try one. I saw them in a local b&m which is what piqued my interest.

At least in this case you know why the cigar is so expensive. Everyone involved is getting paid first world wages and getting taxed first world sums. Better reason than most super premium priced cigars give.

Those features alone are worth $5-8 a stick add-on.

We would like to think everyone involved is being paid first world wages but likely not the case though, to your point, everyone involved is likely being paid more than those doing the same job in Central America.

I picked up a box of the robustos, have only smoked a few but really enjoyed them.  Got big thumbs up from a couple friends too.  Definitely unique.  Maybe a bit one-dimensional, but that doesn't bother me if I like the flavors.  I'd say medium-full bodied, but medium strength.  Construction and burn have been perfect.
