Writing on back of a Cuban cigar label - anyone know reason why?

Came across something I had never seen before - I asked some other people and one told me he had seen this before but didn't know why this was done.

If anyone else can shed some light on this, would appreciate it.

It's a number, like 6 and 254. This one comes right after 29 in the list.
