IK852 Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 Hi Guys, It’s my first post here on the forum! Hope everyone is doing great! I received a box on Montecristo number 2 about a week ago. I just have time to check every single stick last night. On one cigar, there’s a hole on it. Is it a beetle hole? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Doctortrent Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 Nope, all the ones I’ve seen are a perfect circle, I’ve had a few little holes or pokes like this no beetles

The picture above in a post from another member is most definitely.
joey rockets Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 15 years ago, I discovered a cigar with a bore hole through the stick and the yellow cellophane encasing it. I keep cigars in a cabinet humidor usually in their boxes. Upon discovery of the hole, I never found further evidence of that insect in spite of a general tear down. The damage occurred elsewhere?
Shelby07 Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 Looks ok to me but search around for some threads on freezing cigars.
BJRPorter Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 Wrapper looks pushed down rather than eaten. I would say no.
El Presidente Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 It doesn't look like a perfect beetle hole. Then again, It could just be a half arsed beetle having a bad day It looks to be a nick in the wrapper.
