Silverstix Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 From a 10-ct box of tubos. Smoked a few of these now. Appearance: Cigars from this box all have wrappers that are darker and thicker than I prefer. Not terrible looking though, but still not what I’d pick first out of a lineup. Smoking characteristics: Took a little extra flame to get toasted up. Once I got it lit, it smoked fine. Draw is a little more open than I prefer. Burn line and smoke output are great. Only 1 touch up required. Cigar seemed to be burning a little hot. Taste: Good. Not great. All cigars from this box have been the same. Darker more earthy flavors, not so much of that Bolivar licorice and chocolate that I like. This one in particular was a bit on the harsh side. Long finish. There were flashes of that sweetness in the middle of the smoke, but nowhere near enough. Overall: Despite not being a stellar cigar, I still smoked it to the end, like I said it was good but it wasn’t great. I am more convinced now than ever before that wrapper has a distinct influence on the profile of the cigar. The thick dark wrapper definitely gives me more of the dark earthy flavors, with a touch of harshness. Tastes more like a Nicaraguan cigar to me. Paired it with a can of Coke. 82/100 PS - sorry I was only able to get 1 picture, smoked this on the deck at night and didn’t have much light. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3
