Popular Post irratebass Posted September 21, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 21, 2019 I forget that these appear to be box pressed. Quite a rugged looking cigar, plenty of veins and seams, but it does seem to be fully packed. I don't pick up any aromas on the body. The foot gives some nice faint cinnamon or sugar cookie aromas. The cold draw greets me with bread and more sugar cookie flavors. Let's get into it. Cigar starts out with bread, and some marshmallow flavors. Getting some cream in there as well. Sadly I've had a couple of relights already. Onto the 2nd. The draw seems to be getting tighter.....meh I have to puff on it several times before I get a decent draw, but when I do the reward is nice bread, coffee, some wood and cream flavors. Still quite a bit of wonky burn going on (see pics), but I may have corrected it. About the same in the final third....no complaints it's staying consistent. Got about an inch to go and it's still burning cool.......gotta love that. So the burn was less than desirable. The draw was tight! Overall I enjoyed this cigar despite the headaches it gave me. Would definitely smoke again, and just because I was reviewing it I didn't reach for my PerfecDraw. Definitely a mild to medium smoke pretty perfect as your 1st cigar of the day paird with your morning coffee. Let's see bread, cream, coffee, wood, cinnamon and sugar cookie spices.....very nice. Smoking time right at 2 hours. 9

Vedado_Joe Posted September 22, 2019 Posted September 22, 2019 Better have a nice big pot of coffee to accompany this for 2 hours! Nice review, too bad it didn’t burn well. I have a box of 2017 I bought in Cuba that smoke great, but still a tad young to get the full experience yet.

Thanks buddy! Such a shame that I've already reviewed other small marcas like La Gloria Cubana in the past, but not for Bolivar yet. Will get Bolivar cigars as soon as I finish my Coolidor project ?.

I have to admit I’ve never had Gloria cubana, not by lack of trying, I’m having a hard time to find them. Regarding Bolivar, I’ve seen some people on this forum not enjoying them so much but I really love them. Quite cheap for a great value cigar! 1

For LGC, it really tastes like fruity, floral, herbal and gentle English Earl Grey Tea, as it has light-medium strength with graceful flavour profile (I strongly recommend you to try MdO4 for LGC experience). Bolivar cigars are known for earthy and spicy cigars, so someone who dislikes earthy profile might not interested in Bolivar cigars. However, I also like earthy cigars so cannot wait to review Bolivar cigars (I honestly love all kind of CC flavours except mediocre ones) ?! 1
