Warped La Colmena and GR88 are my favorites for different reasons. The La Colmena is a great blend with some sweeter flavors like honey and fig but it is made in small quantities and is a bit pricey. The GR88 is on the cheaper side with more savory flavors but is quite complex and balanced showing more toasted nuts, leather and woody notes.

Bohemio Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Warped from me as well, specially la colmena.
Astar20 Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Casadagli by bespoke cigars the grande cafe (lancero size) or the Maduro version if you’re into them and the cotton tail (flying pig) are both great my go to NC recently. Definitely recommend these.

taylorgov2 Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Surprised no one has mentioned Black Label Trading Company yet. They're on the fuller side but most of the ones I've had have been excellent. The petite lancero has been my favorite so far. Definitely worth picking up if you're looking for a fuller smoke and in a lonsdale to boot. 1

Wilzc Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Hey @El Presidente! Riste of JSK will be at Dortmund. Seek out his CBD infused NUGGS of which he has a 20 year patent on. Lol. His red knights are decent too. Steve Saka will also be there and his Sin Compromisos and Sobremesas are great. Unsure if Skip will be at Dortmund but his Germany exclusive Wunderlust is ‘interesting’ with tales of Schuster held Cuban fillers being part of the blend. Jon Drew the legend will be there handing out KFCs. Avoid those. Weasel up a 10th Anniversario if possible lmao. Nothing much else maybe. Unsure if Nick will be there with his Foundation Cigars. If so, the Tabernacle is worth looking out for! Actually Ferdinand Piet from MinistryOfCigars is there and he is the perfect guy to seek out to get an insight of the non-Cuban world! As would Cigar Journal’s Samuel Spurr. A fellow Aussie! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 1
joey rockets Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Tatuaje is probably the most creative NC roller today but I also like Southern Draw and some Drew Estate for skinnies. Avo has new stuff and I always look at Fuente although Cubans might be cheaper? New bands prepared mainly for the USA market are tough to find in ring gauges smaller than 50 and one should pass on most of them. Someone mentioned Oscar who does have a lancero if you can find it.
Hookmaker Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Id have a look at Bespoke. Their grand cafe Lancero is awesome ? 1 1
jackupster Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Illusione , RomaCraft and Warped are usually what I reach for in NCs. 2 1
mt1 Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Another vote for Southern Draw from me, I like the Rose of Sharon Lancero. 1 1

Nino Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 @El Presidente No idea, really - only would go to Dortmund for the good old Borussia - never for cigars. Would suggest Tats, Nicarao and Pepin Garcia. Would have suggested you come to our pharmacy cigar event and meet nice FoH lady members and pick up some Aspirins, but you'll be too busy. See you enjoy a good Curry Wurst - it will talk back to you for 3 weeks and it's a nice & cheap souvenir, ask for it with Pommes Rot-Weiss on the side to make it memorable .... ? 1
akpreacher Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 I’d say if Warped, Black Label Trading, Ezra Zion, Blackbird cigar, Aganorsa or Foundation are there any of their cigars are need to try!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Also I think they have a shady Modus Operandi. Focusing entirely on really good gimmicks and marketing of off-the-shelf factory offers from decent factories. Also don’t think Warped would make an appearance in Germany anytime soon. Kyle can’t even cope with demands in the States. And I think he wants to keep his mystique intact. Still. Great cigars! 5thStarChicago Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Ask Pete from Tatuaje for an Escaso. Lower priming wrapper than the standard Miami brown label and are brilliant. Doubtful that he'll be selling them at Dortmund as they are super small production but worth asking him for one for sure. If La Aurora is there, ask them for a Hors d'Age. Last year's blend was the best thing to come out of the Dominican.
Burningman Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Tatuaje brown label for sure. Im addicted to the bandless panatelas but the entire line is quality.

This is actually kinda funny, there's more Lanceros and Lonsdales available from NC than CC now a days, great ones from the likes of Tatajue and DPG and quite a few others. Many times they're the best cigars in their entire line up. Admittedly, a lot of the focus and floor space in retail establishments is on the jaw-breakers but there is a surprising number of long and skinnies available (and even minutos) in most boutique marcas.
HoyoFan Posted September 22, 2019 Posted September 22, 2019 Rob, what would actually be really interesting to find out is which NCs YOU like. 1 1
