Jal154 Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 I do hope this thing hangs a hard right soon. 5F638681-8D46-4151-A211-E52E3D2310D9.MP4
rcarlson Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 The Bahamians are getting the tar knocked out of 'em. Fingers crossed. . . 1
40 Palms Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 From being the projected landing spot a few days ago in Jupiter to looking like it'll skirt past us.....keeping my fingers crossed. 1
Tstew75 Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 My family lives in Charleston, SC...this time of the year is always tense. Hurricanes are a part of East Coast life, but damn they suck. 1
El Hoze Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 We live in North Miami and always leave town when there’s a risk. The whole area turns into a total madhouse. We have a little 9 month old guy so we definitely were not taking chances on this one. Looks like our area will be OK, hoping folks up the coast are spared as well and pray for those in the Bahamas. 1
El Presidente Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 Stay safe folks. safe decisions made early and enacted upon is the right way to go 1
tsolomon Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 This is our first hurricane since we moved to central Florida about 18 months ago and it has been an interesting learning experience. The day by day changes in where the hurricane is going and the strength of the storm is very stressful and worse than I could imagine. We continue to hope Dorian stays offshore and continues to move farther east as it moves north.
saintsmokealot Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 Yeah it looks like we got lucky on this one

Definitely some people right on the coast (first couple of miles inland) need to worry but for everyone else you’ll likely be just fine. People like to get all worked up.
Jal154 Posted September 2, 2019 Author Posted September 2, 2019 Moving at a speed of 2 miles an hour. 7:20pm. Has not taken any turn north. Let’s see.

I’m a native, and not overly bothered by this stuff. My wife is from PA and has been absolutely bugging out. Central Florida looking very safe at the moment, hoping it stays that way. Going to sit outside on a plastic fold up chair and smoke since all the outdoor furniture is in the garage. Hopefully the rain doesn’t come in too sideways! I’d love to get a herf going w some local guys. Count me in! 1

We should get together for drinks, dinner and cigars somewhere a couple of times a year. There are plenty of restaurants that we could go to and sit outside for dinner so we can smoke afterwards. Probably best to do when this f$&king humidity dies down so it would be more comfortable outside.
Derboesekoenig Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 I'm in St. Augustine Beach. Weather is still pretty nice here. Still smoking outside
tsolomon Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 I'm in The Villages and still smoking on the lanai with the wife most nights, love being able to sit outside and not have to deal with mosquitos. I'm willing to travel to meet up with some folks for a herf. 1
MPS Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Glad South Florida was spared as it would have been a disaster of epic proportions. My heart goes out to the Bahamians who have been devastated. 2 1
