Forum Update 24/08/19 - Tech Issues - Chatbox Re-enabled.

Hi All, 

We have run a minor maintenance update this evening. If you are experiencing any tech issues, then please post them in this thread. Nick and I will look into them and attempt to resolve asap. Thanks and apologies for any inconvenience. 

• Currently we are aware there is a potential issue with the Chrome browser on Macs in creating a new post and in Chatbox not loading properly.

Update 25/8 

Chatbox appears to be the source of the problem, so we have temporarily disabled it. Post creation functionality should be back to normal now. And we're working on getting Chatbox back with the program asap.

Nick seems to have worked his magic and given Chatbox a good slap upside the head and it now appears to be behaving itself. Well done, Nick. 

All functionality seems restored to normal. However, please let us know if you are experiencing any other issues.

I cannot see the chat on my Windows computer with Chrome too.

If you type a message in the chatbox and hit the enter button does the chat then appear as normal? That's what is happening for me at the moment. 

Also, can you create a new topic?

MoeFOH - this morning US time I’m unable to load the Chatbox on iPhone (IOS) in Safari, just spins or see Chatbox on iPhone using Chrome.

Yes, sir in Safari. Don’t have that option in Chrome on iPhone.

 

However, if refresh Safari the posts are gone and it’s back to not seeing anything

Thanks. Same here. So Chatbox is working partially, it's just not loading the message history upfront.

Typing in ChatBox is OK ; just not loading itself automatically (history)

 

I didn't try opening a Topic or to post currently

Just tried openning a new Thread/ Topic and it is OK 

 

Update infos:

The option to minimize the Chatbos in Chrome isn't available too 

 

Will do more test when back home (at office currently) with other browser such as Mozilla

Thanks guys. These seem to be the main issues affecting some but not all. We’re working on fixes. 

Please keep the info coming - issue+device+browser - those specifics really help us get to the root of the problem.

Also no chatbox, just the status indicator spinning.  Chrome on OSX.

Hi there techies, I am using my I phone 10, for the last month I no longer get the 24/24 icon. I have to hit browse then online users then cigar disscusion forum to see 24/24. Hope you can solve this problem. Thank you
