El Presidente Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 "Rob, can you please put together a sampler which showcases the spiciest of Cuban cigars. Cream and cocoa are not a flavor profile that I tend to like in a cigar. I love a cigar that has pepper but also more nuanced spice like cedar/licorice/clove/leather. Maybe six to eight cigars? it will help me find my way in a very confusing cuban cigar world" Folks Keeping the above in mind, can you recommend a couple? I will email him the suggestions as well as linking him to this thread.
shlomo Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 Partagas PCE Young RG Pera The occasional Punch Punch Sometimes I get pepper and spice from the new Vegueros offerings. Tatuaje is where the spice and pepper truly lives. 3

kalibratecuba Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 I'm still smoking Tats because there isn't a Cuban that exactly hits the spot like a Tat Black.Sent from my GM1917 using Tapatalk 4
dobbs Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 partagas, specificaly sd4 and sd6 (haven't had a 5), but nothing really comes close to that nicaraguan spice hit, and that's just fine by me. -dobbs 1
earthson Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Partagas President usually has the pepper and leather.
Corylax18 Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 The Spiciest (by far) Cigar that I have smoked in the last 5 years or so was a Partagas Serie D No. 6. They had trays of them inside the door at the 2016 Encuentros opening dinner. I only smoked about an inch of it, and that thing blasted my palette for the rest of the night. I agree with fresh Mag 46 too.
havanaclub Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 I would agree with above member, mag 46 young. I find you get the clove in hoyo epi 2. Anything Partagas except Lusi. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
lovethehaze Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Young party d4, like less than 6 months. after that and in the humi more then 90 days smooth out a lot to me d5 also for sure
Andy04 Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Party Habaneros. Especially those that are young. 1
anacostiakat Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 I thought this was going to be about Cuban women! As for the cigars? Not really. That is one of the big reasons I don't smoke many non-Cubans. 3
SCgarman Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Tell him to stick to Nic cigars if he wants spice/pepper bombs. Best I can offer is a young box of Partagas Shorts. Very Nicaraguan like when young. 1
jeremiep89 Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Young JLS1, PLPC, P Shorts, RyJ Ex #4, Hoyo Petit Robo, Cohiba Medio Siglo, Bolivar CJ and HU Mag 46 - there’s 8 in all different marcas! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Tstew75 Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Only CC i consider lightly spicy is Party E2s...paprika for days
Thirds Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 I think the Diplomaticos No 2 has a nice spicey blend (clove?) balanced with a Woody layer. There’s a mild sweetness to the spice that you may not like but it’s a good cigar.
shadowACE Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 I find most cigars are spicy if you dip them in Siracha. 1
Popular Post Kaptain Karl Posted August 23, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2019 IMO...he probably shouldnt be smoking cubans. I smoke cubans BECAUSE they arent pepper bombs. Cubans arent for everyone! 5
Wookie Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 Ramon Allones Gigantes in the final third gets pretty spicy for me..or maybe gritty, but satisfying with a proper libation.
VRATJV07 Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 When I want something on the spicy side i reach for a padron or illusione ultra...haven't had that in any Cuban cigar I have ever smoked 1
prodigy Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 I have to agree with what others have hinted at. If this person wants the spice from NC, in a cuban, it's simply not going to happen. If all he's been smoking are NC, and that's why he likes the pepper bombs, he needs to learn to love the delicate flavors that cubans offer that cant be found in NC. The strongest pepper in any cuban is like 1/10 of what you find in a tatuaje or padron. I love Nicaraguan tobacco for that quality, and I don't look for it in a Cuban. CaptainQuintero Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 If he's prepared to go into auctions then Bolivar Gold Medals are going to nail pretty much everything he's after I'd guess. I suppose a 10-count box is a reasonably safe bet too. Outside of that, I can't particularly add much else to what's already been said.
