Why do we keep cigar bands?

I save all of mine. I don't know why, I don't have a plan for them.

I also save most of the cedar boxes, cedar inserts, and silk bands. Sometimes I use the boxes when I am taking a bunch of cigars on a trip or something, but again, no real plan for them either.

I Do not collect the bands to at one moment not to be shocked of the number of smoked cigars.

They just stay inside the SLB they came in. I tied one on my suitcase so I can spot it easily amongst the sea of black bags on the luggage carousel.
