Wilzc Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Regios de Punch EL 2017 Nothing worth noting on the cold draw. Stick has a nice dark brown hue. This particular stick is A little crooked due to the nice yellow Habanos ribbon. Thanks Cuba. First puffs. Coffee. Cream. Wood. Not too bad! It feels like some fruitiness is trying really hard to surface but then it’s always smothered by the woodiness, coffee and now some earth notes. Wrapper has some burn issues but not too bad. Probably needs a dry box session. Flavours are getting a little ashy some point mid first 3rd. Along with some soapy finish. Very strange. By the second 3rd, things suddenly got sweet! Fruitiness develops! This is where the Regios really shines. Burn does go off rather easily, the wrapper a little thick perhaps. Last 3rd got strong, with bitter tea and damp tobacco being the main flavours here. I think I smoked these too soon after receiving them! Will redux soon! (Redux: ok so I’ve had another one and there is some issue with the wrapper here. It’s not burning well. Not as bad as the horrendous dark EL wrappers which are flameproof but these are problematic. Pity. And I’ve got a box of these T___T) Final thoughts: 88-90 rated cigar. Could be better. Should be better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3

TheMonk Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Good job, shame the cigar wasn't up to expectations!
