As stated previously, I am not a man blessed with tasting abilities.

Light salt taste. Retro hale was soft but has a presence.

V-cut

Aroma:

Pre-light: no soft spots, perfect draw in my opinion.

1st third: exactly as expected, magnificent. I think I may taste cedar.... But I think that's all cigars. I may get some hate here when I say this, but Punch Punch is definitely in my top 2 favorites. Maybe it's the nostalgic memories it brings, perhaps it is as good as I believe it is, but either way I love them.

Back when I was in the military, I was part of a forward deployed helicopter squadron. This basically means sailors that see desert and not water while doing Medivac and search/rescue. Every night we smoked crap cigars, I was the 6 pm to 7 am shift. Some nights were easy, some weren't. When we did a real good job and helped save a life me and my smoking buddy would crack out some cubans we bought at the airport. (I also picked up new arrivals at the airport every few weeks.) I once got a high five by a man on a stretcher at about 3 in the morning. Best thank you I've ever gotten We couldn't afford many seeing as we were both e-4s, so we smoked them only when we deserved one. Punch's were generally all we bought. Hell all we really tried, but they were good to us so we never changed brands.

Second third: Still magnificent. Retrohale feels just the same. Great burn, no pull issues.

While we were out in Kuwait, we made a homemade tattoo gun (I'm covered) and I got a tattoo on my right ass cheek, he worked out a lot, and I got in trouble alot for standing up for my guys (I made e-5). I hated every minute I was out there, except for the hour or two we sat together every night talking and smoking cigars. He is probably one of the.... I dunno, maybe 5 friends I've ever had in my entire life.

I once spent a whole paycheck on alarm clocks and batteries, then put them in the wall insulation in my senior chiefs trailer while he was at work. I set them for 5 minutes apart, starting at 1 am.

Third third: it got a little stronger but not by much, still just as delicious as it was from the start. Retrohale strength has also slightly increased.

I also bought marine short shorts and pink running shoes so I could work out with my senior chief, because I knew he would hate it. I made sure to do extra stretches.

While he rode a bike at the gym, I sat next to him and did power push yells like weight lifters did while lifting several hundred pounds..... Because well...... I knew he'd hate it.

So while I was out there, I learned a few things. How to enjoy simple pleasures, how to stand up for what I believe in regardless of consequences, how to find satisfaction and importance for your work, that wives/women come and go, but most importantly, I'm willing to take the punishment for putting liquid fart spray in our higher ups office to make them sit in 150 degree heat with us.....multiple times.

Ending notes: absolutely amazing cigar! I will continue to buy boxes when I have the scratch. Punch punch will always be a great cigar for me.

To my old friend I haven't seen in awhile.... I'm sorry for wishing for a potato famine on your family, but you still look like carrot top if he was born a woman. (He's Irish) Love you bro.
