El Presidente Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 The wind blew up at 10am (30 knots)...so off the water we go. Great morning! 3
Popular Post elting44 Posted April 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted April 27, 2019 2 so far, just lil guys. God awful windy. Would like to be using cut shad or bluegill, but no such luck catching bait so I am using chicken breast chunks slathered with garlic powder and Dead Red. 5
Fuzz Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Looks like Ben and Tom are doing all the work for Team Ayala.

Popular Post Kaptain Karl Posted April 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted April 30, 2019 We got 4 salmon to 18lbs out of half moon bay, Ca. The surprise bite of the day was a 1000lb seal biting the captain while we were tied up to the dock! 7
westg Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Ohhh my...now that would really hurt.Is the seal still alive ?? Very nice fish well done !

Habana Mike Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Not many fish for us to speak of though it was a great time. Best catch of the week was a case of Santiago 11! That and a well-aged Hemingway Tournament official t-shirt. If you ever want to fish in Cuba let me or Cory know. We now know how to book, where to book, who to book with (great boat, tackle, Captain and mate- for Cuba ) and when we should come for the best chance at Blue Marlin. I am sure some picture will come up. 1

BolivarSmoker Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 40 mph wind gusts on Kentucky Lake kept the fish from biting, although we had a great time. I'm looking forward to doing this again and hopefully the weather will cooperate in my neck of the woods. Congrats to all who participated and all who win!Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Corylax18 Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 I was able to grab a couple shots of the Boat, but as @Habana Mike said, we only got one, relatively small, Barracuda. Mike had it in the boat in about 10 seconds though, record time! I know we got one photo of it, but its not on my phone. We did see One small(12-15'/4-5m) Orca whale, it was VERY cool. The captain told us he had only seen 2 whales before and had never seen and Orca, it was not with a pod. I didn't believe it at first, but the large white patches on the side of the head were clearly visible on a couple of breaches. Atleast we know what scared all the fish away. For Cuba, the boat was well outfitted, Very old Tackle, but Very high quality Penn Reals and rods. The boat was built in '89, the gear looked to be of a similar vintage. Guanabo in the background of the first shot, Havana in the second. 3
El Presidente Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Great Fun all Around. I will let ben get around to the winners tomorrow ......he has his hands full with launching Auctions today
madandana Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 We had a great time although the fish didn’t cooperate. The boat was surprisingly decent.About the same as you’d charter in the US. It had a bathroom and a cooler full of beer, even if the captain drank it all.? 2
Habana Mike Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Was there a category for most expensive fish caught on the weekend?
