That's why the PerfecDraw is so popular. 2$ vs 30$ plus shipping.... I'd rather spend my $ on cigars. I never said I was going to patent it but I'm here to tell you it works fine and it is effective. Like any tool, you have to take the time to learn how to use it. 2

It arrived quick and is a very high quality looking piece. So I had a plugged Upmann this past weekend, very tight draw. Pulled out the Perfectdraw and reamed a hole about 2/3 of the way thru. I immediately got a ton of smoke through the channel- Unfortunately it was totally acrid and metallic tasting. Pitched it. It was still burning really poorly. I'm thinking I either drilled way too far in, or there are simply some cigars that can't be saved no matter what? Since I've only used it once, wondering if others have tried and pitched anyway. After all the feedback here, I would be interested to hear if your experience with the Perfectdraw changes. Hopefully it does. 2
crasmith Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Got one here a few weeks ago. Love it. I almost feel like every stick now needs a little “adjustment”. It’s helped for sure on some and paid it’s weight on others. I’m now a believer. ?
BlueRidgeFly Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 I’ve used mine a fair bit, it has worked great on most of the cigars that have needed it. Definitely helps if you go easy, a little at a time to where you think it’s plugged, test the draw, repeat. I recently had a Monte 1 so plugged I had to send it halfway in from each end. Seemed like a lost cause but saved it, turned out to be a great smoke.
Wookie Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 I use it the same way one would change a tire. Use a star pattern to ream plugged sticks. Also, sometimes it's good to light the stick first and take a number of draws. This moistens the tobacco and allows the reamer to grab/gain purchase. You must use a twisting/rotating motion to twirl the plug around the draw tool as you pull/extract the plug. Some cigars are unsalvageable, but I can make almost all work with this tool....even the notorious BCG.
cmbarton Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Reading all these how-tos, I now realize I’ve been using my PerfectDraw totally wrong. I use it to hold the very last bit of a very good cigar I’m not ready to put down! 2
BoliDan Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Plugged cigars just suck.. Id say the perfect draw works about 40% of the time for me. Most of the time it is so plugged that the perfect draw just bursts the filler to through my binder and wrapper. It also has a lot to do with how wet the cigar is. The more wet of tightly packed tobacco, the more useless poking holes is going to do. On the occassions it does work, it is brillant.
BeerPimp Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 I purchased one and have saved 3-4 cigars with it. I am glad I purchased it because I hate throwing cigars away. But I don't smoke a ton and hate to ruin the experience so if the cigar needs to go it goes. I keep my CC 65% so maybe that helps.
