I have been smoking cubans for 10 years now. I enjoy Trinidad Fundadores and Reyes, Cohiba Siglo VI, Partagas D4, Partagas E2 and H.Upmann Connie A.

I have never tried Davidoff. What would be a good suggestion if i want a smooth and creamy cigar? No dirty jokes please! :)

I actually quite like the Millennium blend.

And let's not forget about the chefs edition 2018. Made by chefs for chefs. ?

Another one out of his factory that you may want to try is the Zino - Platinum. They are HIGHLY expensive, around $33 per cigar, but you definitely can't go wrong IMHO with this series too  :cigar:

I wish I did! Bought a box of pc and toros. Toros are decent but the pc have nothing but musty tobacco flavor.

Don't have access to many, but bought several "special" singles last summer. I thought the year of the rooster and year of the dog were quite good. The Royal Robusto is a royal waste of a lot of money IMO.

I like the millennium blend as well, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it as one of the smoothest Davidoff’s. Smoother than the Yamamasa or Master Selection for sure, but noticeably spicier than the Anniversarios. I can’t speak to the Grand Cru line, although I will also say, to my palate the 702 was a slightly less sweet and smooth version of the comparable anniversario. I suppose some might call it more complex, but I must say I found it somewhat less enjoyable. Perhaps I just am looking for something rather specific when I smoke a Davidoff, and due to pricing, am rather easily disappointed when my expectations are not met precisely.

Another suggestion for smooth and creamy, also woody, is the Signature blend.

I also wouldn’t characterize the millennium blend as the ultimate in smoothness.  It certainly contains a little spice, but it’s not harsh at all. Definitely, definitely manageable.  It’s one of my favorite non-Cubans. Chocolate ? w/ earth, wood, and spice?  Come on!   The only thing that turns me off, once in a while, are the notes of fresh pencil shavings instead of a deeper richer woody note. And I get that pencil flavor in a couple other Davidoff blends as well, almost always when I am smoking too fast. Davidoff’s normally have a pretty open draw, so regulating smoking speed is important. It affects the flavor.

I like the Master selection, Art edition 2017 and Macau exclusivo (if you can find them). All have excellent construction, but as Chef said above, must smoke them slow to get the best flavors.

I second the Grand Cru, definitely a light, smooth and creamy smoke.

I also love the grand cru. It’s the first Davidoff that made me think wow I could smoke this every day.

The churchill late hour is also good.

Which vitola of the Laye Hour do you favor?  I enjoy the robusto the most.

Yep, the robusto is the only one I've tried, and it was good enough that I stuck with it.

In the grand cru, I like the No. 3 (5 x 43)

I found that the regular Nicaragua (not the box-pressed) to be all creamy and nutty. However, I'm going to now suggest an Illusione Epernay for a nice creamy NC. While Davidoff is going to be a very good smoke, there's nothing that really justifies it's $20-$40 per stick price tag, in my humblest of opinions that you did not ask for.

The late hour is my favorite by far. You can smell and taste the scotch oozing from it. I am a Churchill person. There are some lines that don't impress me. But what does impress me, is regardless what Davidoff you have the construction is impeccable! Always a good draw and razor sharp burn.

Strangely, I prefer the non-box-pressed Nicaragua over the box pressed as well.  But overall, I’m not the biggest fan of that blend. But that’s OK, because flavor and taste preferences are relative, as well as value and the price. I’d much rather spend $30 on a good Davidoff than $5 on a crappy stick any day of the week, and twice on Sundays

Hi, from what i have gathered, Davidoff Grand Cru is the way to go. Do all the format will taste similar? Any size smoother than others?

I can smoke any size from Robusto to Double Corona!

My personal recommendation would be the no. 2.

At the risk of being a d-bag threadjacker, I highly recommend trying a Cuban davidoff at some point if you get a chance. I’ve been lucky enough to try a few and they have all been outstanding. I can’t believe how good they’ve been despite the decades of age on them. I realize I may have gotten lucky as I’ve read reviews on line that weren’t great. I think the cigars smoked in those reviews weren’t properly kept. Eitherway... Some of the best cigars I’ve smoked but I’ve always been in little to no company and on a special occasion when I smoked them.

The four I’ve had came from London. I have two Davi no.1s left.

with that being said I’ve always found the noncuban davidoff line to be of excellent quality production and construction, but the tobacco just isn’t there. Money better spent and saved on habanos. JMHO

At the local lounge tonight, finished my ENE 21 RASS, wanted another smoke, and noticed my neighbor at the bar was smoking a Grand Cru No. 3 that looked nice.

It's been a long time since I had NC so I ordered one.

Wow, creamy, delicious, cafe au lait, with woodsy overtones, pine needles, didn't evolve a ton over the course of the stick, but burned perfectly.

I haven't had much luck with Davidoff NCs in the past but I'm going to pursue this and buy a 5-pack.
