Religion... unfortunately it usually boils down to one bunch of crazy's killing  another bunch of crazy's over a slight variance in their few thousand year old books that all originate from the same source...

Madness! Why can't people just get on and be happy. Less judging and more open mindedness is required.

Glad it was shut down. Day in and day out in Chicago I hear about this type of garbage. I think if the world called a pot luck dinner and everyone brought a good cigar and some food ,most of the problems could be solved without politics politicians or religion. It’s late. I have to go check my Sensor Push to make sure I am not 1/100 of a percentage point off on my humidity. Nite all !

personally, i think it is a tragedy that it had to be shut down (though i agree that it was sadly necessary).

it was a thread offering our sympathy and support to a (nearby for us) nation which had just suffered the most appalling experience through the actions of an insane bigoted racist disgrace who does not deserve oxygen. fifty innocent people were slaughtered for nothing more than having a different system of beliefs. they were doing nothing other than getting together to pray. not to mention those unrelated whom were gunned down because they ere walking along a nearby road as this moron had decided to shoot anyone and anything by that stage. and we could not maintain that thread in the spirit that one of the members first posted it.

this is not a proud day for any of us.

I missed what happened but I can imagine. This place is a little relaxation garden, and a very rare one online. Like all gardens you have to occasionally do some pruning and flick the cat turds over the fence into next door's garden to keep the place tidy.

Keep on flicking

I’m glad you don’t live next door... or do you?

It just had to be tidied and the ignorant/racist banished  to somewhere else.

I see it as a positive. The community became a little better today.

Just to clarify the pomme bashing and winding up of Aussie criminals is still fair game?

I feel it us such an important part of the UK's and Australias shared history and culture...

One of the things I love most about this forum is the complete lack of all that crap that permeates the rest of the internet. Thank you for keeping this house clean Pres.

While I am always happy to provide a broad church platform, I  don't do racists or misogynists regardless of how many $ they spend.

Rare in a business owner. Appreciated!

I do hope that the ban is permanent, no room for hatred of any source.

Is it possible to know who was banned in case that person hangs around other forums?

Let's rally the troops.  We need to get these guys.  Run them off every cigar forum.  Tell their friends. This unchecked aggression will not stand

Thank you @Fuzz

I have no idea what was said or who was banned or suspended, but no need to make it even worse

We’ve all said things in life or made mistakes that have hurt others

Trying to destroy them on all forums would make us in a sense as bad as they are

Agreed. No need for mob justice.  Silence on the net asphyxiates.

Who was the A hole? So that if he/she has the same handle elsewhere we can avoid them ?

Don’t worry. No need to out them. I suspect that you would know their heart even if they had a different handle on another board.
