aphexafx Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 @akpreacher ? What kind of tobacco do you use? Are they mild or strong? 1
Popular Post Bram Smoker Posted March 10, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 10, 2019 That’s awesome. I would never attempt to roll one. I would roll it way to tight, like the crepes in Seinfeld. 3 2
Popular Post Jimmy_jack Posted March 10, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 10, 2019 Just started in the last month. I'm waiting on a Corona mold from Honduras. I have a petite perfecto mold that appears to be a community loaner from another forum. So I'm using that and paper strips. I'm getting better slowly. Bunching and binding are easiest so far, wrapping is getting easier but caps are a biatch.I really enjoy this. Even if I don't get very good it's been a great learning experience. Truth is though I get pretty obsessed and OCD on new hobbies so I expect I will get better. Quite to the displeasure of my wonderful wife who will have to tolerate bags of tobacco and stacks of molds I've made some good blends so far. Colombian Seco is the bomb. Very funky flavors. These pics are from the last few weeks.Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk 28

earthson Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 This is far down my list - too busy with work, family and the garden. When the time is right, I'm hunting down some Dominican filler and, possibly, some Cuban leaves as well. 1

One of these days I need to just get a bunch of leaf and sit down and roll for a few days straight.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Toast & Taste Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 What resources are there for learning? Where do you U.S. based folks source your gear and leaf? Big Al
akpreacher Posted March 10, 2019 Author Posted March 10, 2019 What resources are there for learning? Where do you U.S. based folks source your gear and leaf? Big Al I get my leaf from leafonly.com, wholeleaftobacco.com and some friends of mine that live near factories that sell some leaf. As far as gear I use mostly stuff around the house: cutting board, ulu, spray bottle, copper pipe elbow(for cutting caps), xantham gum for glue and lots of patience. There are some great videos out there on rolling, my favorites videos are done by a friend of mine, search bliss cigar co on YouTube.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk When it came time to learn how to roll cigarettes, I got a pouch of tobacco and a few packs of papers. Roll and if it isn't right, tear it up and do it again. I figure I won't spring for wrapper leaf until I can do it with a reasonably smooth binder-quality leaf. Unless the wrapper tobacco is just as cheap?
