Popular Post ChanceSchmerr Posted March 9, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 9, 2019 Hey everyone! Been meaning to post for a bit but I've been a bit busy- sailing the ocean blue! After a few years ashore, I've been posted to ship for my final Naval sea tour as Engineering Officer. It's been a crazy 8 months getting ready for this trip, but we are now a month into a 6 1/2 month deployment to Africa and the Middle east. I'm very excited, a few ports in here I've never been, and i'll be crossing the Equator for the first time too - a tadpole no longer! I may even make a pilgramage to the Holy Grail itself - Czar Central in Brisbane. Anyway - I'll be posting ....shall we say...hypothetical locations....I *might* be visiting, just in case there are FOHers who are keen to meet up, or at the very least, members who can suggest some great spots for a Cigar and Single Malt whisky fam like myself! I look forward to meeting some new friends and hopefully catching up with some old friends too. I'll post those as "Chanceschmerr STW"(sails the world) Until then - i'm at Mac and Marti's Cigar Bar in Guam, enjoying a fine '05 Upmann Monarch - life is good! Cheers mates! Damn I hate when I cant rotate my picture LOL (ed. - fixed) 23
CaptainQuintero Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Sounds great Chris, so with it being your final tour are you going to be a landlubber afterwards? Or just moving to a different role? 1
betadawg Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Enjoy your voyage. Godspeed and be safe. As a fellow traveler in the world of hypothetical locations remember to check your six. 1

There is always international postings to tempt me though....

It doesn't seem too long ago that you were studying for your exams!
