At the end of the day, it’s just a job.

Yeah! At the end of the day, it's all a blur.

Working from home for the last two years had made a huge difference - I have 2+ hours per day that I’m not spending in the car. I’m home for dinner every day when I’m not on business trips and I can often drop off/pick up my daughter from school.

On the other hand, my cigar smoking has increased greatly since I can smoke on my deck while working. Wait - that’s a good thing, right? ;)

I'm salaried in a very fast-paced, high-stress industry (I'm a Civil Engineer for Land developers in a booming city).  Fortunately, one of my perks is overtime for anything over 40 hrs - I can have the extra money or extra time off.  When the projects (and stars!) align just right, I throw down a few days off for sanity.  Doing this very thing today and tomorrow after working long weeks including weekend days.

Lots of cigars, naturally, help the cause as do moderate amounts of my favorite intoxicants.
