Popular Post PrairieSmoke Posted February 24, 2019 Popular Post Posted February 24, 2019 I need to start by confessing that I have never really had my socks knocked off by a Bolivar. Admittedly, I had probably never smoked one that was more than a couple years old. This all changed yesterday when I took out this fine example of a BBF. First Third: This cigar started off fantastically, no ‘throw away’ first inch before the cigar gets it together. Cream, coffee, nuts, floral notes with a zest to it that was close to lemon but not quite. Second Third: The above flavors continue with the addition of some light cocoa powder. This cigar is a symphony every component and note working together, just absolutely enjoyment. I know you folks have been there before, these are the moments that make us ethusiasts. Final Third: Everything is carried into this final third, but with a build in intensity. As I nub this thing I become keenly aware that I don’t have enough in the humidor. I’m not sure I’m a Bolivar guy across the board yet, but this was enough to encourage me to grab some more boxes, maybe the 3-4 year mark was the key? Score: 95 9
