What's the latest cigar you have tried for the first time?

I tried a Monte 2 for the first time ever (typically don't smoke bigger cigars / torpedos) I was pleasantly surprised. Got lots of chocolate notes ...no spice at all and pleasantly surprised.  I will definitely try more torpedos now.

Sometimes we get stuck in our ways, just a friendly reminder to broaden your horizons both in Cigars and life in General! :)

Cheers!

Almost everything I'm trying right now is new to me. Last one was a RyJ Wide Churchill. Enjoyed it a lot.

JL2. After hearing all the good things I picked up a box in Havana last fall. Did try one recently and was not disappointed.

Tried a La Trova back in December, my near New Years Eve cigar. I had bought a box a while back and thought I'd try one. Bottom line, it was really good. Almost an H Upmann flavor profile, that kind of biscuity, ginger snap and coffee flavor. Of course it went young in the back half of the cigar, but certainly lots of promise for the future.

Mostly the new RE releases like the ERDM Petit Cayos, LGC Orgullosos, RG North Star, Dip Nortenos, SP Gran Quixote. No real misses in that lot, surprisingly.

I’ve had pretty much every regular release at some point in the past.

Tried a 2011 Bolivar coronas Gigante today. 1/3 was uneventful 2/3 was brilliant dry toasted nutty cedar explosion final third ended up getting too peppery spicy for my liking. all around enjoyable. not sure if ill try and pick up a box or not. The facts that i enjoy a good long smoke and that they are discontinued makes me want to pull the trigger on a box.

ive been on a sampling spree since getting into cubans trying everything and anything over the past two months. the JL 2 has been one of my favorites so far, was young as well.  every puff from beginning to end was magic. not sure if i want to buy a young box or a box with some age on it. i saw a box for sale from 2011... decisions decisions.

Smoked a aged Sancho Panza non plus gifted by John s who I had the pleasure of meeting along with his son George during there short stay in Orlando, Florida this past December. Cigar on the cold draw was very flavorful a strong driftwood with a hint of salt. First third to the end stayed consistent a mouthful of Rich creamy salty smoke. Flavors excelled to there best on retrohale a unique toasted Cuban tobacco. My first Sancho Panza non plus and my first review.

98 Sancho Panza Belicoso.  Have heard for a while how well these age.  I understand this was rolled with different tobacco strains, but true to form with amazing depth and seemingly years more of aging potential.

Ashamed to say, but finally tried my first HUHC the other day. Temps right around freezing and a bit of outside work needed to be done. It fit the bill nicely.3fb08229dadac06e5bec6047e98d7906.jpg

Partagas Hananeros and H. Upmann Noellas. Not a large format and relatively high cost. But worth it. Long to smoke and very tasty, fragrant, smoke-as if you drink a caramel cocktail.

Por Larranaga 5ta Avenida last October. Super raw straight from the vendor's humidor, shouldn't have bothered. Only bought 5 and will not be touching the other 4 for 3+ years.

Smoked a Punch Punch for the first time recently doing the Christmas sampler reviews with @JohnS. I loved it! John did too! He looked like he was going to eat it up when he was smoking it hahaha

I'm into my first box of HUPCs. Good cigars but not my favorite PC by a long mile.

Le Hoyo De San Juan was my most recent new cigar I tried that a buddy gave me. I liked it....a bit different from the basics from HdM. I keep buying most ly the same boxes to keep in my rotation so trying new things has become a less frequent thing for me. Would like to change that up.

Punch Punch 48 LCDH.  Gift from a friend.  Tasty cigar, with some nice cedar and cream flavors.  I read some unflattering reviews of it a year or so ago and had little in the way of expectations, but enjoyed it thoroughly.
