Nino Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 An uplifting song by Wolfgang Niedecken of BAP set in New Orleans - "It is what is, cannot change a thing ... " Sung in the best Cologne regional German slang - love it ?

Wailbait Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 Right now. Jessica Pratt. Great for languid mornings. Her album Quiet Signs is a revelation. 1
captaincaveman Posted July 2, 2020 Posted July 2, 2020 Just found this gem on a record I had never listened to.
Neuralpath Posted July 2, 2020 Posted July 2, 2020 Today is Ahmad Jamal’s 90th birthday. Master of holding back— leaving space and always swinging. Here he is from a 1959 performance with audience including Jo Jones, Ben Webster, and jazz critic Nat Hentoff (head bobbing and puffing away). Great time for jazz. 2
Mr. Japan Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 RIP Maestro. This week will be only on your music. 4
BrightonCorgi Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 I have been selling a lot of albums of my younger years. Some of which has renewed my interest in albums I haven't heard in like 30 years. This one included. What a monumental album. I saw some of their first shows in my area, very powerful. The album is just as good today. 2
