An uplifting song by Wolfgang Niedecken of BAP set in New Orleans - "It is what is, cannot change a thing ... "

Sung in the best Cologne regional German slang - love it ?

Nice technique, never quite seen someone play with a shoulder rest like that before. But wow, that section of harmonics was impressive and her overall tone was very impressive.

Today is Ahmad Jamal’s 90th birthday. Master of holding back— leaving space and always swinging. Here he is from a 1959 performance with audience including Jo Jones, Ben Webster, and jazz critic Nat Hentoff (head bobbing and puffing away). Great time for jazz.

I have been selling a lot of albums of my younger years.  Some of which has renewed my interest in albums I haven't heard in like 30 years.  This one included.  What a monumental album.   I saw some of their first shows in my area, very powerful.  The album is just as good today.
