Reevzy Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Just to revive this thread a little. Today, I'm listening to the only band that sounds like Primus...... and that's Primus! John the fisherman
Jnaube Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Right now, Maiden, Live After Death... One of the greatest metal shows ever recorded. When I was young, I had to buy the cassette 3 times because I simply listened to it too much... Thank god for CD's and mp3's
canadianbeaver Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Oy we had guests here at our house over the weekend and mrs guest had an 80's music mix including Abba, Jimmy Buffet, Billy Joel and assorted disco hits. Is there such a thing as an ear ******? (Sorry, could not think of another word).

Jnaube Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 One of the greatest metal bands ever. Legendary! Seen all of their tours since the worls slavery tour...
1fastmach1 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Enjoying a monte pe while listening to pink floyds dark side of the moon album. Sports center muted on the TV for a little light in my lounge.
in0gravity Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 The new Bloc Party Album "Four" is currently up and down on my ipod. Great Evolution from Silent Alarm. Also pretty good (at least for me) ....and you will know us by our trail of death "Lost Songs".
khomeinist Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Seen all of their tours since the worls slavery tour... Impressive.... Powerslave is such a classic. Seventh Son my favorite though....
IcedCanuck Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Eric Clapton ... just starting to get into his music. His stuff I am getting familiar with seems like soft rock maybe. There are definitely what sounds to me like blues and jazz influences in his playing.
Puros Y Vino Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 AC/DC (Bon Scott albums mostly.) Though I have nothing against Brian Johnson. He has Back In Black under his belt. Can't feel sorry for him.
bdp Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Can't get enough Beastie Boys, entire discography in constant rotation since Yauch's death last year. Also got hooked on Spotify one night before Xmas. A friend-of-a-friend demonstrated it, with passion. His enthusiasm was infectious and I gave it an extended try-out. I'd avoided it because it requires subscription to work on mobile, and Pandora was an 'adequate' experience, but still restrictive. I think Spotify is better, but recommendations & discovery still misses the mark. (but that's the whole point of these threads!)
GernBlansten Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Great way to start the day! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvEMPyZFRj0
IcedCanuck Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 That was incredible. Thank you. Wow, one of the better covers to that song I have ever seen!
