shlomo Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Been very into some classic southern rock lately. Plenty of Allman Brothers, CCR, Skynard, Marshal Tucker, Doobie Brothers, Black Crows, Molly Hatchet, .38 Special, Charlie Daniels.....
smokum Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Steve Marriot . Concrete Blonde. Blackberry Smoke. Trying to get tickets to see Smoke....One Horse Town is a gret tune. They remind me of The Band and a little Allman too.

Jeremy Festa Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Went to Crowbar last night for the Deafcult, The Grates and The Smith Street Band gig. Impromptu show from them before hitting the Splendour in the Grass festival in Byron! Anyway. I am going to throw this out there. And it is a farken massive call. But I just want you all to know that I think The Smith Street Band are the current voice of Australia. 10 outta 10. Will see again. I would kiss them all on the mouth too. And maybe I am still a little drunk from last night. Listen here

maxcjs0101 Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I cant get this song out of my head: Marvin Gaye - Charlie Puth & Meghan Trainor
Jeremy Festa Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Well, you've convinced me that they must be a good band! One can only try mate. One thing that really resonated with me from this gig, was the song below. Called "Wipe that **** Eating Grin off your Punchable Face" Directed at Tony Abbot and one particular policy. This tune in particular had everyone singing along, and it was super ******* refreshing to hear! Press about this song can be found here:- http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/music/the-smith-street-band-attacks-tony-abbotts-refugee-policy-with-new-song-20150113-12nc0z.html I am sure there are many Australians on this forum, that would love to read about it, whether they like this music or not.
TheLiquidGator Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Sometimes I just fancy a trumpet and a BPC. Miles is a might more complex, but the BPC is rock steady. 1
