I've really been enjoying the new album by Hozier. Interesting mix of alt-rock, gospel, roots blues...good stuff.

INXS

One of my favorites from the 80s...saw them in concert at Radford University in '87-ish...

I was a big INXS fan when growing up on Sydneys northern beaches. I used to fix the Ferriss brothers vehicles when I was a panel beater.....ahhh the good old days.

Jeremy (Maplepie) mentioned Mr.King in a pipe smoking post. At least I suspect this is whom he was referring to. Instantly brought this session to mind. Remember seeing this when I was 13 years old and said yep that's what I want to do. Oh if only I had that much talent.

The new Mark Lanegan disc, 'Phantom Radio'.

It opens with this track, and maintains the standard till the closing track. Loving it big time.

Night after night.... going round n round my brain.

This dream is driving me insane.

Not their best work. But ABSOLUTELY my favourite. I believe in musical poetry and this encapsulates it fully.

If I wanted artistic musical expression, I'd have no problem picking Saucerful of Secrets or Piper at the Gates of Dawn.

But The Final Cut takes the cake for me...

Just surfing Sesame Street for my kids and heard this one. Not as politically correct as it could be but, I remember rocking to this when I was a kid. Good times, good memories.
