I haven't tried any of these with much time. I recommend you try one at between 30-60 days in the humidor and assess from there, as all our tastes are different. I smoked a fresh 2018 box within a month or so--they were that good.

Here's the description from the store, and I agree with the latter part of it. Don't recall the aroma reminding me of sweet tea hmmm may have to revisit that.

"Enticing aroma at cold reminding me of sweet tea.  A soft medium bodied palate of lightly creamed sponge cake."

It’s a QD. You will need to put these away for a little time. Your reward will be immense.”

If so, I think 2-4 weeks is enough...

I always try to rest mine for a little bit after getting a package in the mail. The key word is TRY. So, I’ll cave and smoke one and find out where it’s at then let them nap for a while.

QdO Coronas apparently become something pretty special after about 5 years, so I’m told. I’m looking forward to finding out in about 3, haha. So I’m guessing the recommendation is based on this. But this is a relatively new cigar, so no one really knows, do they? I’ll tell you that the 2 I’ve had so far were very tasty for young cigars. I’ve got a box of these in the pipeline, which I’m planning to dig into after the standard 60 days in the hope they help me keep my hands off my Corona stash.

The coronas do turn into something quite special after 5+ years. Worth the wait completely. Good point about the newer 50s and 54s. Nobody knows quite yet when they will hit stride. Previous qdo are generally 5+ and longer if you can bear it, so same school of thought on these. Some people just like younger cigars anyway. Nothing wrong with that. Sample over time and see for yourself. Best way to learn your preferences.

^^^^ this every time.

With QDO if your not getting,  cream, cedar, vanilla, oats, flowers, anise,  then I would say they're not ready.

The only way I can stay of my coronas it  to leave them in my locker....brought a box home just to sample a couple months ago, only 3 left out of the box.?

The new 50s always sell out in a blink of an eye on 24:24. Can’t believe everyone is buying them to lay down for 3-5 years

By expierience with the Corona, a few years do them very well.

on the other hand get your own reading on it.

try them after 2-3 month rest then every 6 month.

if you like them smoke through half a box and get a new one.

everyone has a different personal sweet spot.

Smoked a corona yesterday... good smoke. I'm trying to stay out of them based on that 5 year recommendation from Prez. I think they have 18 -24 months, and I've smoked maybe a half dozen. They've all been enjoyable, so we'll see if they make it.

Yep, I have no idea why they've done what they have.....well of course I do, but.  Old money, just doesn't have much of it, whereas they want the nouveau riche will splurge the cash on anything thats shiny!.......modern design is for the magpies.

Can't blame them, as they have been selling insanely well. Though they are just excellent cigars. I do prefer the old bands as well, but I also love vintage in general. Not into "new and shiny". But I'd buy into it to make a profit

I hope they kept the old blend, and didn't make a new and improved blend for the "new and shinny" boxes and bands...

To be fair - at least, I think we should count ourselves lucky that they are keeping the Coronas at all (Coronas!).
I wasn't too confident about it, despite their announcements, given the obvious success of the new stubbsvitolas.

Has anyone seen the coronas recently?  I haven't seen any boxes with dates after 2016.  I was guessing these were going to be axed also.
