Kitchen Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 So I just received notice that I have a PSP box of Unicos on the way from our host, but I never actually had one. I know a whole box purchase without trying one before is quite a gamble, but I have had the Don Alejandro and found them to be quite good (sad to see them get axed). How do the Unicos compare; do they have similar flavors? From the flavors I got from the Don Alejandro, I am assuming they should be quite good. A little too decadent to have all the time, but a nice treat.
Jimmy_jack Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 All VR...to me...have great potential. Ymmv depending on the tobacco at the time of the rolling. However, if they’re on, they’re fantastic, across the marca. 1
BrightonCorgi Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 Been way too long since I had an DA to comment on comparing the two. That being said, the Piramide is one my favorite vitolas and most commonly smoked. Unicos is top of the range for that vitola. Unless you got a dud box, I don't see how anyone could not enjoy the Unicos if you like Piramide cigars. Upmann No. 2 or Unicos; a simple coin toss

I like the whole VR lineup and find the different vitolas have a pretty similar flavor profile across the marca. When on, they are outstanding. Try some Famosos as well if you haven’t yet. 1
