Connoisseur Kim Posted November 29, 2018 Share Posted November 29, 2018 I finally managed to achieve full budget for my cigar tools plan after spending a year and decided to do final check before making a purchase. I am just changed my mind to buy bigger wineador (20 bottle) since it is the best deal I can find in my country at least. Unfortunately, despite of its capacity, it actually has smaller height than most of similar American wineadors like Newair. So, I think I would add total four Spanish Cedar Drawers of 3 drawers and 1 false front drawer at bottom (I could just go with all normal drawers... but it would make me difficult to place a USB fan for circulation so I rejected it). Due to the drawer layout, I might put 2 SensorPush hygrometers (1 for top and other 1 for bottom) like previous 12 bottle wineador concept instead of 3 which is mostly common for large sized wineadors especially 28 bottle ones. Will it destroy my wineador plan (I actually considered put hygrometers to all drawers but I think it is too overkill imo)??? ? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Boveda packs, 65%, you’ll need half a dozen.Done.Too bad that 28 bottle ones are unavailable in Korea unlike America... They are just not that popular yet (even Coleman coolers are pricier yet less range of products compared to US market) unlike PC, electronics, etc in my country... The import tax (approx $500?? by Amazon's suggestion) is extremely high if I try to get 28 bottle from Amazon since there is no 28 bottle offering in Korea... Way more expensive than getting parts for high spec custom water cooling gaming PCs XD (even cost of these products are skyrocketing like CCs). Btw, I forgot to say I am Korean citizen who is neither affiliated with ROK nor US army so I cannot use PX or AAFES ?... Oh, your cleaning guide for removing plastic odour in wineador helped me a lot (coal briquettes)!!! I am also considering using Spanish cedar shelves instead of drawers since I am most likely to get box purchase not singles (I am sure most of folks using large storage containers for storing CC box hauls not just 5'ers 3'ers).. Most of folks in Korea still think that only rich snobs can have cigars and wines (most of them do not even know FOH and CCW) and the domestic market size is way too small compared to China. This is the reason why I decided to contribute cigar documentation on Korean wiki so that folks can at least learn some cigar knowledge. This was such a helluva work when I started to edit Cigar documentation since it was extremely lacklustre with too many misinformation (even Cuban custom roll like Yolanda was not there during that time). I am really happy to see that others include b&m use my contribution as a reference on their post (they are still insisting using 70/70 rule for storing CC like NC unfortunately but it will take some time to spread 65/65 rule). Note. It was even worse in the past since CCs were not legally imported until 90's... The anti smoking regulation in Korea is ridiculous and harsh as Aussie, Canada, USA as well (e.g. local b&ms are not allowed to sell cigars online, no smoking in TV programmes)... Since I am planning to buy wineador, I think I would mainly buy boxes instead of singles since I have never saw a person who has cabinet or coolidor/wineador buy singles only... Note. I had a rather large newair and started with drawers and shelves. As I continued to fill it, I had to remove the drawers to accommodate more boxes. I could have just saved the money and gotten shelves. You can also just stack boxes, so as you continue to fill, you may end up removing shelves for more space. Quickly learned the drawers take up precious space. I bought an identical 28-bottle from Craigslist just so I could use the shelves and drawers. So now I have one with 2 drawers for singles and one shelf, and the other has 2 shelves. Also have two coolers, but the extra drawer sits unused.
