So I really like thin vitolas and have seen many disappear in favor of new 52+ ring gauge production cigars and multiple LE/RE that always seem to be bigger, more mammoth cigars. I also through viewing cubancigarwebsite.com have seen many cigars that I would have loved to try if they were still in production.

What cigars would you fear disappearing? Does anyone hear rumors about some cigars you enjoy soon getting the axe?

Thanks in advance for indulging my curiosity.

I think it already happened for me (<52rg) when they took the BCG away. It’s funny (not AT ALL really....) because it was smoking at it’s best in over 2, maybe even 3-decades, easy.  Especially when considering that little-to-no additiinal downtime/rest was necessary to blow  you away.

Diplomaticos #2, any SCDLH or Vegas Robaina. Small brands dwindling away.

It's unlikely that the Diplomaticos No.2 will be deleted anytime soon as it is the only regular production vitola left in that marca. Recent discontinuations have followed along vitolas that have not sold well, usually, such as the H.Upmann Petit Corona or vitolas that have fallen out of favour with Habanos S.A. such as lonsdales.

Diplomaticos #4 were discontinued just as I was beginning to move toward Habanos. Just a shame.

My first Cuban.

Things like the Presidente and Montecarlo that I just adore,

I just feel that Habanos S.A would rather use the tobacco for another monster addition to previously diminutive and refined line.

I'm talking about Le Hoyo line. If they kill my Du Maire for a freaking 7 inch 56 rg behemoth I'm gonna cry.

But I like them, so they’ll probably be discontinued. Also, don’t forget what they’ve done to Quai d’Orsay. Discontinue everything and relaunch it.

Per Cuban Cigar Website (dated) they were discontinued in 2012.  I have a 2018 box in a tupperdor so who knows for sure.

UTL Mar 18 to be specific

Sometimes it feels like they do this to create artificial scarcity so more people chase them and fear buy. I'm concerned about LGC #2. Can't find them anywhere.

Turn the 9 upside down and you may have a chance.

Did anyone see any decent stocks of Don Alejandro's in Havana?

Didn't notice any when Ben and I were doing a tour of the LCDHs.

So. DA are gone then. Ugh

Fonseca #1 were discontinued years ago correct? As in, they physically disappeared. But then they brought them back--seems like the only anomaly right?

Smoked my first BCG recently--2016 box. Wow. Can't believe they are gone. So depressing. If anyone wants any, they have them at LCDH in Dubai, the one in JBR.

I only wish I could get my hands on a box of BCG.

According to my receipt, the BCG were 101.5 AED/each. So $27.64 USD

I always got a few Punch Churchills at 112 AED/each.

But! I think the winners that I found were the 2 boxes of La Corona.

Panatelas Celos and Petit Cetros Celos, both full boxes.

Also snagged a full box of Bolivar Coronas Extras, and some Boli #1 Tubos

I originally replied, "Hah!  But I have a box of 2018's..."

On closer inspection, I think they're actually 2016's.  My visual acuity has declined over the past couple of years.  I can't find the factory code on any lists but the 8 sure looks like a 6 when I magnify it.  Let me know if I'm incorrect and the 8 is indeed an 8.
