Anyone been through Athens airport duty free? How’s the selection and prices? Any other tobacconists worth visiting in Athens itself?

I stopped in there this summer.  Selection was limited but they did have one box of Cohiba Talisman and one box of Montecristo Dantes.  Pricing was fair for duty free. I did pick up one box of 10 of QDO 54.

I was in Athens in July and went to a shop called Miamis in Syntagma Square. They had a decent selection and prices were not bad. The LCDH was further north than i was willing to go. They had most regular production cigars. Not as good as what you’d find in the Benelux region but decent overall and worth a visit if you need to stock up just for the duration of your trip. Not worth it if you are looking for RE’s or LE’s. All I remember them having were the Dantes LE, a 2009 Boli petit belicoso LE and a couple other 16-17 LE’s like the Punch. Very nice staff is a plus.

Great timing (Your question). I was going to ask the same thing myself. I'll be going to Athens in the new year!

In approximately 46 days from now I'll be in Athens with the wife for our anniversary trip. Staying at the Grande Bretagne... Has anyone had luck with Phoenicia regionals at duty free at the airport vs the shops in town? I know the shops have them and likely a better selection. Just curious to know what you all found at duty free.

I'm looking to pounce on more of the Dip Ammunition regional.

Cheers

Was in Athens for the 4th of July holiday... Airport DF had more Dips than most B&Ms... Purchased singles from Miamis and Casa Del Cigar...

Thanks Puff...

I appreciate the post. I'm paranoid enough to try to buy on my way into Greece in case some other aficionado leaves the country with a mint of Ammunition. No pun intended. I happen to really really like this cigar and I'm thinking of going deep at DF pricing. Do you recall the price? I thought these were supposed to be around $200 USD a box DF.

Find any good other Phoenicia regionals out there that were approachable?

Was at the Athens df this past Sunday. Picked up a box of Vigia. It’s a small walk in humidor with plenty of cheap and cheerfulls. Lots of rg corona boxes. Mag 54. Vigia. Rass. Not many regionals though. Decent prices. No Quai D’orsay, which was what I was looking for.

Was passing through Athens 2 weeks ago. The casa del cigars in town had Cubans, but was down to one shelf. They had few boxes of Omiros.

The airport this was the main Cubans. Few 3/5 boxes of davidoff and plenty puritos. Anyone want 770€ boxes of Vigia...?

I checked out the Athens and Istanbul Duty Free shops flying home. Istanbul didn't have diddly. Athens had a bit of Siglo 4 and 6. Some other stuff like Romeo no. 2 tubos and a Trinidad reyes box. Prices were on par .
