PigFish Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 I don’t really have the time to scribe how much I really enjoy this cigar. I just smoked one of the KMM ‘04’s. Actually I like the ’04 vintage more so than the older vintages; that should raise a stink with a few of you! I call this a quenching cigar! It is lightly fulfilling, fruity and floral. If you are not familiar with this cigar and enjoy a good PC pick up a box you will not be sorry. Rating??? Smoke one and decide for yourself. -Piggy
windowrx Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 I love the '04 PLPC's. I've got a cab that I've been struggling to leave alone but they keep calling to me. Was there an '05 release of these? I haven't seen any but would like to pick up a cab if I find them. It'd be interesting to see how they compare now and as they gain a little age.
cf2112 Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 I too like the 04's and have smoked over a box that said I'll trade cab for cab old for new. Nice ashtray Piggy:-)
tey Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 How do we smoke one unless they are in our possession?

Im slowly smoking one and not even thinking about touching the other for at least 4-5 yrs. I never have smoked an older PLPC than '04, but these to me are very good. I hear people that have smoked the older ones say they have a more pronounced caramel flavor. I can def taste caramel in the '04s...but can see these really blossoming in the next 4-5 years.
Mel Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 I have half a cab left of that year class and absolutly love them. I find them very fulfilling for a pc. I found another cab with a little more time on them and jumped on them. Date code be damned I like to smoke these.
The Privateer Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 PLPCs are fantastic...they seem to be so scarce now though!
Ken Gargett Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 doing my best not to smoke too many from a cab as really do want to see them in a few years but they are so good now.
windowrx Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Does anyone know if any of these came out in '05?
Ken Gargett Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 » Does anyone know if any of these came out in '05? one of our other threads talks about the plan from havana to drop these completely but rob believes not. definitely something we need to follow up in cuba. i have appallingly neglected to take note of the code on my cab - i have have taken a few out and put the rest into deep storage so will check next time - but i think it 04. cracker box full. unless i have it wrong, doubt we have seen any 05s but rob best placed to answer.
Shiba Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 I will have to add this to my ever so long list of cigars to try!!! Thanks for the information guys.
Ginseng Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 » Does anyone know if any of these came out in '05? Yes, FJN SEP05 has been seen. Wilkey
korryp Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 I also have a full cab minus one of the KMM 04’s. I need to pull anotherstickout and have one this weekend.
PigFish Posted January 12, 2006 Author Posted January 12, 2006 I have lost track of my “older vintage” PLPC’s as I had but a few left and I think I got them mixed up in a “catch all drawer” of loose cigars. Form what I recall I found them to be a more robust monotonic smoke. The cigar was bold, with less character and complexity but a wonderful smoke none the less. I suppose if I were to blind taste one now I might think that it was a Siglo 3. The cigars had good flavor, were somewhat unique in character but I cannot really remember what they were all about… Too much water under the bridge at this point! I’ll scrounge around tonight and see if I can identify one and give it a smoke. If the results are successful… and the cigar is worth a review I may write one. –cheers, Piggy
Guest gorob23 Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Wondering IF MY favorite vendor is getting these soon?????? Rob
idesign Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 I smoked another great one this past weekend. Every puff was full of caramel and chocolate. Pretty full bodied, I even caught a slight buzz.... Wish these were more common.....
El Presidente Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Sort of hoping early Feb 05 but will know next week.

cigardawg Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Have about 40 left from two cabinet splits with some fine friends. They are only my 3rd or 4th favorite PC, but my Mate loves them. She smokes most of them. Both were KMM NOV04.
SuperT Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Absolutely love 'em. I've got a little over a half a cab left of FRH SEP04. I already smoked my 1/2 of a split of KMM ?04s and loved everyone. I've been told they get better with age, I just can't keep my grubby little hands off of them!
Girardian Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Piggy, the KKM NOV 04s are incredible. I'm working my way through a cab and probably have a dozen left. These are a "go to" cigar for me -- a great flavor profile for early in the day and a nice size when time is an issue.
alexgtp Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 These are my favorite PC's. I stocked up recently on the very small 05 shipment. I think I bought out every vendor..LOL!! Now I hope they will eventually be as good as the 03 i smoked a while back. The 05 i found to be very young almost too green.
