Thumbs down I’m afraid. Some things are brilliantly designed to be cheap, effective, and universal. A fur coat just makes this seem daft to me!

I used to have one very similar about 30 years ago. It had a “leaf” cloisonné badge attached to it.

Truth be told, I may still have it somewhere. Although I do not live that lifestyle any longer, I’ve never been able to toss the “smoking accessories” of my youth.

Been thinking about getting something like this. These things have one very real practicality! If you know anyone who is a BIC lighter kleptomaniac, notorious for pilfering your lighters, usually accidentally by slipping it into their pocket after borrowing it, and then forgetting about it. Something like this makes it very difficult for a friend to accidentally pocket your lighter, thinking it is theirs!

Or they just take your $38 cover with it.  I see lighters like this as disposable/forgettable, so I would never spend more money on it other than just buying more of them.

$38 is too much to put onto something that is normally disposable.  I'd rather buy a refillable lighter.
