I had a good day in the warehouse today and the mastercase of the day was a case of Partagas Serie D4 with lovely colorado rosado wrappers.

Ken and I were only doing a review yesterday of D4's with a Rosado wrapper. It didn't disappoint.

Spectacular in every way.

I know it's a generalisation, but rosado wrappers seem to enhance the cherry flavour in Romeo y Julieta, the nut flavour in Cuaba and the spice In Partagas, for me. Do you remember those rosado wrappers on the 2014 Partagas Privada Limited Editions we enjoyed at the old Alexandra Hotel a few years ago (and which you graciously brought along, El Pres)? How 'reddish' were those wrappers? And they were spice bombs!

colorado rosado has been a favorite of mine for decades.

First time I tasted cherry in a cigar, the brand was Cobre.

Small ,private production, only available a couple of places, this lent to the mystique of this cigar.

Since then I have encountered nice flavors and aromas in rosado wrappers, and I will always pass over other types for rosado.

Rosado wrappers for R&J and Partagas Serie cigars all the way.  Like Rosado wrappers on any cigar it is an expected shade.

I have always had a preference for nice thin oily rosado wrappers on both R&J and Partagas.

This one from PMU JUL 15 is starting quite nicely.  As I read the SD4 thread.
