you must have one of the last boxes ever made

That's what I was thinking- I doubt there was a later date for Don Alejandro.  Habanos, S. A. = :dunce:

I just received a box of Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro with box code "UGO NOV 17".

Does anyone know what factory is "UGO"?

Thanks

Good factory. It is not Pinar as far as i know. that is a good thing.

I can't blame HSA for cutting these.  Rocks move faster.

It's a shame that they didn't sell, I really enjoy this cigar. Have a few boxes put away, but will miss them when they are gone.

How long should they be aged for?

Depends on what they look and smell like. Depends very much on the individual.

Rough gauge for me.

Colorado, sheen, mild to mid aroma .....24 mths to 36 mth is about right for me.

colorado maduro, oily, pungent aroma.....4-5 years is about spot on.

claro, no sheen, no/minimal aroma......12 months. they are unlikely to much better.

Would you mind posting a picture of the cigars? I'm curious how they compare to the great run of BMP 16s.

Truth hurts. Not a flashy product by any stretch, but I wish the consistent quality, complex taste, classic size and prestigious tribute to the man himself that these cigars embody carried a little more market impact. Come on, people- recognize something good when it punches you in the face! I'm going to miss them more and more as they start to disappear from store stocks.
