Cabinet Humidor

Bought this from local FOH friend Alex.

It's been sitting in my office the last 8 weeks and I finally got around to seasoning it and migrating stock to it.  I freed up about for coolers as a result. I've held off buying a cabinet humidor for ages but this was a deal I couldn't pass up.

Door closed.  Comes with 5 shelves. 1 fixed 4 adjustable.

Door Open The wires down the middle are for two led lights. (not hooked up yet)  The one down the left is for the Cigar Oasis XL II control unit. I drilled out some more holes for ventilation and cut out some wedges on the left hand side and middle rear to allow the wires to travel down nicely.

Populated The "money shot".    There's other boxes behind each column facing you.

You've got some incredible boxes, I see. What does it hold--125-150 boxes?

Also I have to ask--what's the box with the weird lettering, between the boxes of Cohiba 1966 and above the 898s?

Installing a hygrometer per shelf and will be taking down stats over the next few months to see how it performs.

I didn't count, but will be doing so soon. I moved so much inventory that everything is askew. I believe that box is a QdO Imperiales.

Can I ask why are some boxes wrapped in plastic wrap?

Just to slow down the aging process and to keep my damn hands off them.

Ah ok, I recently got a vacuum sealer and I was tempted to try with some boxes to age but haven't go round to doing it yet. It would keep my hands off some of the boxes, I keep smoking through them

Be careful with those vacuum sealers. They crush the cigars in dress boxes. They work best on cabinets.

Ah that makes sense. Never had the opportunity to even see any in person. I started in the game too late

You might run into a circulation problem. I think if you just pick those Escepcion boxes out and send them to me, that should relieve you of the problem?
