What would you choose? Pick one Cuban to smoke every day for the rest of your life OR smoke any and every NC?

If you picked the Cuban option what cigar would it be?

As much as I love my Punch DCs and QdO Imperiales, I would take the "any and every NC" option. There are just too many very, very good cigars coming from various places nowadays. Caldwell The Last Tsar, Illusione Singulare, Padron Family Reserve, Viaje Skull and Bones, RomaCraft Aquitaine. Hell, I had a Fratello Navetta The Boxer Atlantis last night that really blew my hair back.

I agree there are some tasty NC’s out there, but the “every” part is a deal breaker - far too many dog rockets, and I would miss the Cuban twang dearly.

My first instinct is to choose COLA, but as special as they are, I honestly wouldn’t want to smoke one every day - too smooth and mellow. I’d stick with smooth, add creamy and spicy and pick HdM DC.

I've little experience with non Cubans so I have to go Cuban.

The smooth complexity of a Don Alejandro would interest me forever.

For a few years I mainly smoked only 2 cigars--BRC and RyJ Ex 4. Smoking one only wouldn't be a problem as long as it was a good choice.

No idea what I'd pick now. That would be a tough call.

*EITHER:  Ramon Allones Specially Selected for the rest of my days  OR: Saint Luis Rey Churchill.

I'd always like a change of pace. So my call would be CoRo - never lets you down in its inconsistency  :lol3:

I just realized I didn't pick one for myself. I would go the Cuban route. CoRo every day...I could handle that.

First of all I would hate to be stuck with one or the other. But if forced I would have to go with NC. Too many great choices available. RASS would he my CC choice.

When it comes to cigars (or wine, spirits or watches, but NOT ladies!), variety is the spice of life for me.  I am not a cigarette smoker who is happy to stick to his chosen brand of coffin nails to his dying day.  I could not conceive of having only one marca/vitola to smoke -- if forced, I might even quit altogether.

So as much as I would miss the depth and complexity of Cuban flavour, I would have to go with NC.

PS: good question!  Love the sadism...

Sir Winston. Easy call for me, both questions. Not a big fan of NCs, I might just say F it and not smoke, and SW are my go to. I like variety but I like what I really like even more. I wear uniforms basically too, every piece of clothing I have in multiples. I basically have like 5 uniforms ranging from bathing suit to suit. My wardrobe supports the thesis I am OK living without variety. My cigar collection does not!

Cohibas Esplendidos; I could live with those as my only cigar...

I wouldn’t want to be limited to one cigar but I would like even less only smoking nc’s. The Esplendidos would be a good choice but there are many Cubans I’d smoke everyday vs. nc’s.

If I had to smoke NC I’d give up smoking.....cigars!

One time in my life I got a box of cigars that was so delicious I thought I could smoke this cigar for the rest of my life. A friend of mine turned out to be good friends with the man who owned the cigar store in Vancouver that I got my cigars from and sent me a box that he picked out. R&J Cazadores....mid 90’s....not the big powerhouse monsters they roll today, but drop dead gorgeous fruit bombs with the most creamy elegance I’ve ever experienced from R&J. I remember thinking I could smoke this cigar for the rest of my life and be happy!

So if I can pick one cigar and one box that will do nicely.

If I had to pick just one cigar that’s difficult because I need something that smokes great morning, noon and night....probably a Lanceros...or Sir Winston
