mikeyjb Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Hi all, For the Sydney guys, I'll be down in Sydney regularly staying at Circular Quay and was wondering if there were any smoker friendly bars / coffee shops in the area? Thanks!
JohnS Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 There are some places we go to in the city infrequently. These include Sheraton on the Park (go to the first floor, there's a small outdoor section near the bar) and Tattersalls Club (nice smoking area with televisions and is mostly covered). We used to go to the Green Peppercorn Restaurant above the Civic Hotel at 388 Pitt St (on the corner of Goulburn St) but this place changed management recently and we need to affirm if it's still cigar friendly. I was just talking to @Luca a few days ago about some other places. Perhaps he can provide some more information on them including Cohibar at Darling Harbour, the Hilton and Zeta Bar. 2
Luca Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Cohibar is a really nice place to smoke but it isn't covered. Zeta bar is very nice to smoke at. I like going there during the week as it isn't too busy. Friday and Saturday night it becomes a club... For a breakfast smoke: Bahista Cafe 231 is good. They have a good smoking area. I like to have a coffee and cigar there before work. Hemmesphere (inside the Establishment) is ok too. Pricey place but they do decent cocktails and also have cigars for sale. You can also try QVB jet bar cafe which have a smoking area. They serve coffee and alcohol. The Cuban Place is also a place you can smoke at. 2
mikeyjb Posted July 29, 2018 Author Posted July 29, 2018 Thank you for the info @JohnS and @Luca I'll definitely check them out! 2
Luca Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 You're most welcome @mikeyjayjay How long are you in Sydney for? I am in the city for work every now and then. PM me if you want to meet for a cigar. Luca 1
mikeyjb Posted July 30, 2018 Author Posted July 30, 2018 Thanks @Luca Just down for one night in a few weeks. It's a semi regular thing, going down to see a concert at the Opera House. 1
