Popular Post THEMISCHMAN Posted July 27, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 27, 2018 APO NOV 09 RyJ Cedro De Luxe No. 1This was the best burning cigar I’ve had in a while. I’m a big fan of this size in a Cuban cigar. The ash made it to a little over two inches before it decided to disembark missing the ashtray and landing in my lap. Overall, I got a nice toasted tobacco flavor with some molasses/burnt sugar sweetness, cedar, floral notes, moist topsoil on the retro and maybe even a little of the cherry everyone talks about. It continued to burn almost perfectly straight through the rest of the cigar. Very enjoyable. 9
nsills Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 I started with a BBF. Ended with this Romeo I Julieta Exhibition no. 4 ABO JUN 17 that surprised the hell out of me. Not only a perfect draw but went half the cigar before the ash fell (about 2.5 inches). No ash king but definitely respectable on the first go around with these. First third notes of cherry and biscuit right from the get go. Second third didn't let up. Paired with Ohishi Whiskey Sherry it maintained a light to medium body with full flavor. The sweetness has built up with strong background tobacco. Final third is still all Morello cherry and by my up to a medium body. I suspect the youthfulness is coming in but I don't mind it. I love a bit of mongral and it is showing here yet it is still balanced with its flavor. It hasn't been the most complex of cigars but very enjoyable throughout. I would give a 89/100 with potential to improve a few points with age, although I fear the flavor wouldn't delineate too much. It is fine as is. 3
Popular Post El Corojo Posted July 27, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 27, 2018 This nice NC was from a trade; my first one of these, also my first crazy long ash in 17 years of enjoying cigars. 6

luckme10 Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 I believe the longest ash award goes... to the state of California.
jmg Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 LFDC Grandiosos ROL JUL 13these were my first purchase from FoH back in 2014. floral cream through and through. smooth and sweet. definitely have gotten better with time. not too complex where it grabs my attention but an easy going smoke that allows me to just relax, which is what i needed last night. im surprised the ash didnt fall off when i took the bands off.Sent from my SM-G955N using Tapatalk 3
Derboesekoenig Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Actually went all the way with this one. But didn't get a picture at the very end. LGC RE Espana that just came out recently. Can tell that it is young, but I also see these aging into something very good. Some really great flavors packed into it. Enjoyed it for a good 1:15-1:20 3

PigFish Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Needs a ring gauge multiplier! I mean I have put commercial building on micro piles smaller than the rings of some of those cigars!!! -LOL -Piggy
topdiesel Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Diplomaticos No.2 EML JUL 14 (PSP) These are smoking well right now. Paired with a double shot Nespresso whole milk iced mocha (fantastic pairing this morning) while watching the kids swim. The coffee certainly dulled the usual baking spices. But the cigar's dark coffee/dark chocolate bitterness really enhanced the Iced Mocha's cream and milk chocolate flavors. It was not my intent to do the long ash thing, since I was smoking outdoors. However, the wind died down, I remembered the competition and the Diplomaticos No. 2 ring guage lends itself to a longer ash. first 3rd was smooth, sweet and tasted great as the first cigar of the morning. second 3rd flavors intensified and so did the body. Nice thick smoke, which is always a satisfying treat for me. final 3rd, the draw really opened up after the ash dropped. Not the longest ash, but much longer than I normally allow (going for the long ash takes away from my smoking experience). No rough edges and minor flavor changes (mainly the introduction of cinnamon). this third certainly entered the medium full body range. 2

Popular Post Drguano Posted July 29, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2018 Fabulous H.Upmann Magnum 56. Full of Upmann flavor all the way to the nub. Nutty, bread with a hint of cardamom and croissant and a touch of charcoal grilled steak. Burn was constant and an ash that stuck there almost to the end. 7 1

That ash went for another inch. As I was reaching for the phone to snap a pic, BANG! It fell all over me. I'm like, damn.... So close. It was beautiful tight and super white ash. One of my fav smokes. 1
Popular Post havanaclub Posted July 29, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2018 2007 HDM regalos EL Paired it with my favourite rum. This cigar surprised me with its body, I figured after 11 years it would have lost some flavours but I would say it was a touch over medium. Aged tobacco, leather and spice. Nice long finish. Towards the final third I was getting a nice cream and nutty profile with a floral note. Also surprised I didn’t get that classic hoyo clove note that I do in epicure no2. Performed very well. I guess I got a good one with a wrapper that wasn’t fireproof. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 5
