I'm almost certain my guess was juan lopez #2, but it shows up as partagas series d 4. Not a big deal because I still wasn't right. Wouldn't have guessed coro before at least 3 others. Man my palate sucks blind!!! 0/4

I wouldn't get too down.  I think that recent JLS2 share many of the same flavour characteristics as recent CORO.

Well no. I would smoke a current one over a CORO if offered a choice.

I got lucky and correctly guessed! I mulled over between JL2, Epi #2, and CoRo.  Initially thought JL2 with a bit of citrus but it was too sweet to be it.  Then tasted the baking spice which I thought Epi#2  but didn’t get too much cream.  That left me with CoRo, sweetness (I guess honey) and citrus but didn’t get the grassiness so I was unsure.

Early congrats to awkwardpause who at least secured a tie.  3(4)/3(4) is very impressive, pulling for you to get all 5 right.

I was down to the JL2 and CoRo as choices.  I fought a horrible burn the entire stick which is what led me to guess wrong with JL2.  I’ve never had any problems with even burn out of Cohiba in the past and for the price, that’s how it should be.  Guess mine must have slipped through the QA process.

Congrats to everyone who picked this correctly! This has been a fun comp and I can’t believe we’re already down the home stretch. That said...who’s gonna bring the heat in the finale!?

Wow @awkwardPause...I believe you have them all correct so far!!!  Well done, my brother!!  I think you may have already won this competition; is there anyone else who has more than 2 correct so far?!?!  But, I may be mistaken with my quick calculations   Anyway, good luck with the last cigar!!

You’re right that it would be wrapped up, except cigar #3 was thrown out of the scoring because of its discontinued status. So there’s still hope for at least a handful of people to tie if I botch this, which is just ridiculously likely. Lol.

Still very impressive! Cigar # 3 should be the tie-breaker if it comes down to that!  But, I have tremendous faith that you'll go 5/5 and sweep away the competition!!   I'm just hoping to go 2/5!!  Cheers Bro!!

Rob did mention cigar #3 as a tiebreaker in a previous thread. I’m cool with whatever, honestly. Grateful to get to compete in general. Looking forward to next year’s comp already!

This choice was made somewhat easier for me given that my cigar had the very distinctive ribbon impression that only comes from a cabinet box.  So, that helped rule out a couple of options for me (i.e. Partagas D4, Bolivar).  So really, not so "blind" at all!

I'm curious how things would go if all the choices were truly blind; no identifiable ribbon marks, box pressing, or even size for that matter?!?

Mine was plugged, tried draw tooling the thing multiple times with no luck, it was so over packed. I had no shot in hell of guessing what it was.

Other than its strength, nothing about that cigar tasted like a Cohiba to me. Guess I should start smoking more cigars, and get my palette back up to speed.
