Great wedding weekend! My dad turns 90 in July, my mum 85 this year. They danced away until closing time.  Ben and Hattie were magnificent. My youngest Brother Rick (left) went "to town

Had a good fall steelhead trip recently. Went 13 for 13 on steelhead in 2 and a half days. Excellent weather! The young angler James was successful as well!

Went to Cuba, smoked good cigars, ate good food, saw cool stuff.

Received Templeton Tonics Templeton Tonic - Aeventus a day ago. Its smell was absolutely great and fitted with Lockhart's Goon Grease pomade. It has great ingredients and various uses, so I can't wait to try this hair tonic when I have pomade buildup ??.

I always wanted to fry a turkey, but I didn't want to be one of those idiots that lights his house (or worse) on fire.  A friend told me about an electric turkey fryer that he uses.  It is still a deep fryer that you fill with oil, but it has an electric heating element at the bottom of the tank, inside the oil, instead of propane and a flame, so you can even use it indoors.  Since there is no flame, even if the oil pours out the sides, it cant catch on fire.

So I fried a turkey for the first time ever tonight.  It was a huge hit.  It tasted much better than turkey was ever supposed to taste.  The whole family loved it.

Deep fried turkey is always a hit!

If using gas to cook one, I recommend shutting off the gas when the turkey submerged until you know it's safe to light again.  Been there when it bubbles over and catches on fire.  Also, doing a pre-dunk with the fryer filled with water to know how much oil to pour in.

It is a Masterbuilt Butterball 20 lb Turkey Fryer.

My friend told me that back when he bought it, they were going for $250.  But now, the going price is only $99.
