Great wedding weekend! My dad turns 90 in July, my mum 85 this year. They danced away until closing time.  Ben and Hattie were magnificent. My youngest Brother Rick (left) went "to town

Had a good fall steelhead trip recently. Went 13 for 13 on steelhead in 2 and a half days. Excellent weather! The young angler James was successful as well!

Went to Cuba, smoked good cigars, ate good food, saw cool stuff.

My wife and I left the kids in NJ, and we took off for South Beach/Miami.  We stayed at the Fontainebleau Hotel, which was nostalgic for me, as that is where we would stay when I was a child, and this is my first time back.  I think it was a big deal back then (1970s) because I remember my father would always see famous people and he would talk to them.  I never really knew who they were.  Now, it just seems like party-central, with a lot of girls in thongs walking around.  I would definitely stay there again.

With all of the Cuban restaurants and Cuban people around, this car seemed right at home.

We ate dinner at Versace’s mansion in South Beach.  The food was very good, but perhaps a bit overpriced, but it was an experience that I am glad we had.  To me, the ambiance justified the price.

Great pics, those are my old stomping grounds as well.  Amazing how much that hotel has changed since back then!

Me too......went there many many winter recess vactions while in grammar school and high school with my mom, dad and sister. Always hated leaving Florida to go back to NY. The Fountainebleau was a big deal back then. Especially with the entertainment and guests they had. Now I live 1:15 minutes away and I haven’t been down there in 12 years. Must take a ride down there for the weekend.  ??

We are already planning our next trip back.  Next time we will bring the kids, and spend half the week near you, at my in-laws house in Palm Beach Gardens, and the other half at the Fontainebleau.  My wife was never a big fan of FL until now, but she has never been to Miami before.  She had a great time.

Ahh yes the famed Florida dog. My parents live in West Kendall so I grew up seeing a lot of those. Not many on Miami Beach though. Here I am enjoying a NC RyJ on the porch of my apartment which I’ve turned into my smoke cave

Let me know when you’re down. I’ll give you a heads up on some places to check out that are big among the locals. Also, I’ll give you free comps to my theatre on Lincoln Rd.

What’s the name of the theater? I’ve done some plays at the old Burt Reynolds theater which is now the Maltz for quite sometime. Also some short films for festivals shot in Palm Beach County and Miami. What kind of shows do you guys put on?

Here’s our next one. It’s based on the critically acclaimed documentary and written by the same man who directed it

Thanks!  It will probably be next February when my kids get winter break, but I will definitely take you up on it!

We had a Party party at the club with a few friends. Only Partagas cigars were allowed to smoke. Good food, good cigars, good drinks and good company. I could not ask for more.

Presidentes from the christmas sampler- very strong but smooth cuban tobacco. Haven’t had one in a long time, should revisit soon.

Lusitanias 2011- pretty much plugged. Tried perfect draw and cut it but no luck.

Party EL 2017 from the christmas sampler- pretty nice Partagas flavour with some chocolate but no need to buy more.

PSE2 from the christmas sampler- nice creamy tobacco.

Shorts -14- not pictured. Always a nice little smoke.

I thought the presidente from the sampler was the mildest Cuban I've ever had.
