This was permitted under the cultural exchange exemption of the US/Cuba embargo at the time. Just got it reframed this weekend. We took our six year old son skiing for the first time, he loved it and did pretty well! I did babysit the six month old and enjoyed it. Put my feet up in the sun, had some beers and enjoyed the second half of the Super Bowl on my phone while the little one was asleep (as a German I don’t care all that much about the result, just enjoy watching it). We stayed at the Fontainebleau Hotel, which was nostalgic for me, as that is where we would stay when I was a child, and this is my first time back. I think it was a big deal back then (1970s) because I remember my father would always see famous people and he would talk to them. I never really knew who they were. Now, it just seems like party-central, with a lot of girls in thongs walking around. I would definitely stay there again. With all of the Cuban restaurants and Cuban people around, this car seemed right at home. We ate dinner at Versace’s mansion in South Beach. The food was very good, but perhaps a bit overpriced, but it was an experience that I am glad we had.
