It was a pretty casual tasting, nothing too fancy. We had a local sommelier telling about the wines and some history of port wine. She also demonstrated opening a bottle with port tongs.

Only Burmester wines: Dry White, Ruby, Tawny, 20yo Tawny, Vintage -96, LBV -13 and Colheita -89.

Burmester makes good Colheita and Tawny.  Their not known for their Vintage.  1985 is a solid vintage for them if you ever see it.

Slinging and lifting 10m pine trees over a London tower block before planting. Lots of pressure to get the straps just right because you really don't want to be the one responsible for dropping three tons of tree on anyone. Six out of six lifted and landed.

We popped down to our favourite beach. 

Love the birdlife. 

Sea Eagle/Falcon...buggered if I know but I wouldn't mind coming back as one. 

 

Black Cockatoo. native to this area. 

 

 

The beach was packed. 

Lunch at our surf club. 

Membership $10 a year. 

Beers $4 

Glass of good white/red wine $6.90

Million dollar views.
